New research to understand the sensory needs of autistic mothers

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Moyna Talcer has received approval on her MSc research project by the University of Ulster’s Research Ethics Committee. Moyna a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist based in Wallington and a cherished committee member at NAS Sutton is hoping her research uncovers the sensory needs of mothers on the autistic spectrum. If you are interested in participating in the research project or simply want to know more information about it, please check the below flyer.

NAS Sutton Shortlisted for Branch of the Year

We are absolutely thrilled to let you know that we were shortlisted as Branch of Year in the National Autistic Society Staff and Volunteer Awards 2018. That’s out of 119 branches nationwide!

We didn’t win outright this time, but together with our branch co-chair Rachael’s win as highly commended volunteer at the Sutton Community Awards, it’s been a great year for us at NAS Sutton. Roll on 2019 for even more success!

Congratulations to our fellow volunteers at NAS Newtownards for winning Branch of the Year and to NAS Cheshire West and Chester for winning as runner-up!

Thank you for all your support!
