Manga Drawing Workshop with Irina Richards (Children with ASD Aged 10+ Only)

Location: The Main Hall, Wallington United Reformed Church.

Do you like anime, manga, and drawing? Would you like to create your own manga characters? Then this workshop is for you! Manga artist Irina Richards will teach you all you need to know about character creation and development. Artists of any abilities are welcome! Open to children aged 10+ only. Basic drawing materials will be provided (or bring your own if you like). Must have diagnosis of Autism.

About the artist:
Irina Richards is a comics and manga artist, illustrator and artist educator. She is a member of Cambridge-based independent publisher and art collective, Sweatdrop Studios. Irina’s work includes her original manga, Chemical Blue, and an instructional book, Creating Manga Characters. Her work-in-progress, Witchmarked, was shortlisted for LDC Comics Prize in 2019. As an educator, Irina facilitates regular workshops at libraries, museums and festivals. Irina is enthusiastic about all things comics and manga, and loves introducing participants to this engaging and versatile art form.
